Joanne’s story
After escaping the risk of persecution in Egypt, Joanne’s family arrived in Hong Kong as refugees. At just eight years old, Joanne was understandably distressed. In addition, her family was unsupported and impoverished.
Joanne went to local school in Hong Kong, then was fortunate to receive a bursary to Harrow International School. With her diligent efforts, Joanne has secured a place in a B Sc in management and social and business sustainability at Tung Wah College in Hong Kong
Over the coming few years, Joanne will develop unique skills that enable her to give back to the Hong Kong - the city she now considers home.
As part of our continued efforts to support disadvantaged students in Hong Kong, SEA Charitable Foundation currently seeks a private donor to cover the cost of Joanne’s tuition at Tung Wah College.
Through your donation, Joanne can continue her learning journey. This degree will give Joanne the confidence to enjoy a bright and stable future.
Thank you for considering how you can help Joanne fulfil her potential.
Joanne is thriving with the support she’s received, and every step forward brings her closer to the future she deserves. Seeing her confidence grow gives us hope, and we’re deeply grateful to SEA Charitable Foundation for helping open doors that once seemed out of reach.
