Story 1
Born in Hong Kong as a second generation refugees, Erin and Kerry’s family began in Egypt. Following their displacement due to religious persecution, Erin and Kerry’s family fled to Hong Kong. Now aged 10 and 14, Erin is an active, enthusiastic and outgoing girl whilst Kerry has a very creative flair, taking lead roles in musicals and enjoys playing the guitar.
Story 2
Born in Hong Kong as a second generation refugee, Pia’s single mother fled Nepal from an abusive relationship. Pia and her brother Manuel aged 12 and 14 are active members in their church. Manuel in particular has a talent for football.
Story 3
Born in Russia and Hong Kong as refugees, Sarah and Alan aged 15 and 11 and their parents fled Russia due to political persecution. Sarah and Alan have been in Hong Kong most of their lives and have the added risk that they could be deported at any time.
